Here it is! My most anticipated post so far! Without a doubt, my favourite series of the New 52.

Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E.

This series is just insane. And I love it. At first, I was doubtful as I’d never seen any work by Alberto Ponticelli, but his art has really grown on me over time and now I love it. And that’s not even to mention the writing, first done by Jeff Lemire, now by Matt Kindt. The stories are just full of high-concept, crazy and stupidly wonderful ideas. 

The best way to describe the series is B.P.R.D. in the DC universe. Because that’s basically what it is. But it’s not just a carbon copy, it really does have it’s own identity, no doubt due to the great cast of characters.

Plus, let’s face it. The fact it’s still going is a miracle. An untested character thrown into an ongoing series alongside 51 other titles? That seems to just spell doom, but Frankenstein is the little title that could. Plus, he even made his way into other titles, like Men of War, OMAC and Justice League Dark.

Seriously, buy it. Go out and buy this book.
